1967-1970 Ford Mustang Front Lower StrongArm Control Arms - Ridetech 12102899

What says “performance” more than a set of tubular control arms! After all of the time and effort expended on your ride, you definitely can’t let your stamped OEM control arms detract from all that work. Finish your suspension off with these new tubular control arm systems from Ridetech. Built with all of the care and experience you have come to expect from us, these tubular control arms are a precision engineered solution for ShockWave® installation, ball joint binding, and frame clearance issues that can haunt some vehicles. When you combine the performance benefits with the elegant design of these arms, there is no question…. You want these.

  • Development:
    • StrongArms™ are developed by Ridetech® in Jasper, Indiana on an actual running, driving vehicle.
    • The development process allows proper addressing of all fitment and performance issues.
    • We document the installation and demonstrate it to our sales techs and dealers.
    • Ongoing evaluation of StrongArms™ performance is conducted.
  • Design:
    • Strong Arms™ are designed with simplicity in mind, using as few components as possible.
    • Precision and repeatability are achieved through our new 4 axis tubing bender.
    • Elegant tubing bends are created that would otherwise require multiple welded components.
  • Components:
    • Powder coated in a satin black finish.
    • Fully assembled with ball joints and bushings.
  • Geometry:
    • The suspension's geometry is determined by the position of frame mounts and spindle height.
    • Control arm design details greatly affect vehicle performance and driving.
    • Extra caster potential is created by adjusting the position of ball joints.
    • Proper wheel positioning is ensured for new 18" wheels to fit correctly.
    • Ball joint camber travel is re-centered to prevent binding during extreme suspension movement.
    • The contour of StrongArms™ maximizes wheel clearance and turning radius.
    • Shock mounts, air spring mounts, and sway bar mounts are integrated into the design.
    • Proper camber adjustment at lowered ride height is achieved without using a large stack of shims.
