I've just bought this fabulous guitar. The finish is perfect, the pickups are well adapted. I'm more than delighted to have found it after years of waiting for an affordable MadCat. Plugged into my Marshall, it sounds wonderful, both clean and saturated. I'm lucky enough to have a vintage HS Anderson and a Telecaster made by a friend. Thanks Eastwood
OK the Prince thing influenced my purchase but bottom line, image aside this is a great guitar. At first I found the sound a bit “thin” but changed the strings to a heavier gauge and dialed in the EQ with My Chase Bliss pre-amp and the guitar can pretty much do everything I want it to.
Best Cat out there! I’ve been waiting patiently for this instrument. It was worth it! It is sheer joy to play this guitar. The sound is amazing… one of a kind. The color is beautiful - I weighed between classic Yellow and Royal Purple. At the end my loyalty to His Purple Highness prevailed. I’m in heaven with him.
I recently received my new Mad Cat. Great guitar. Fit and finish is top notch. Plays great. I did not like the pickguard as the color was off. I immediately replaced it. Also, it took forever to arrive. Promised in September. Received in December. All in all, happy with the purchase.
The MADCAT is one pretty guitar... VERY pretty! It is well built and superbly finished. Not wanting to ever see it damaged, I did replace the strap buttons with strap locks. She also deserves a nice HSC, which I bought. This guitar plays very easily and it is a super fast neck. If I have any negative comments, it is simply that I'd like it if the frets were bigger, but that is nothing more than a personal preference. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with my purchase!!
This is my second Eastwood guitar and I am incredibly pleased with the quality. Plays like a dream and was beautifully setup when it arrived at my door. Pickups are exactly what I was hoping for after watching the demo video, and the overall build quality is excellent. This has become my go-to guitar for recording since it arrived!
