BDS182FS
BDS182FS will engineered to improve stance performance and capability the BDS 4.5-inch lift kit for the 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 4WD is a must have upgrade. For maximum ground clearance BDS designed a No Torsion Bar Drop System where the torsion bars are mounted directly to the top of the lower a-arm eliminating the need to drop the torsion bar cross-member. This kit includes everything necessary to set your truck up right with clearance for up to 33" tires. This kit takes advantage of BDS's tried and true high-clearance design for improved ground clearance strength and offroad protection while correcting suspension and steering geometry for great on-road handling characteristics. Up front the kit utilizes torsion bar relocation brackets high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers along with a multipiece differential relocation brackets and heavy duty skid plates built for offroad protection. Steering geometry is corrected at the new taller ride height with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. These combined with the provided sway bar drops bump stop extensions brake line brackets CV spacers supplied hardware and more provide a comprehensive front suspension lift ready for whatever you throw at it. In the rear BDS offers both replacement lift block and full Glide-Ride leaf spring options to lift and level that stance. The lift block installs in place of the stock block and retains ride quality and load capacity. Also for the rear are new u-bolts brake line brackets and precision tuned NX2 Nitro or FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks.
High Clearance Crossmembers
BDS maximizes ground clearance with their heavy duty 1/4-inch thick laser cut perfect fit crossmembers. Paired with a front skid plate system that bolts together to create a rigid subframe while adding extra protection.
Heavy Duty Steering Knuckles
BDS corrects steering geometry at the new taller ride height using a pair of high-strength CNC machined ductile cast iron steering knuckle design to work with factory tie rod ends to maintain steering angles for proper function and ESC compatibility.Tapered and roll-pointed leafs add flexibility and provide an even deflection rate Increased wheel travel and a softer ride from tapering allow smoother transition between leafs as compression takes place Higher articulation from bolt-style leaf alignment clamps prevents leafs from fanning out allowing leafs to twist and flex Multi-leaf progressive design for smooth ride Anti-friction pads provide a smooth and quiet ride Front Lift Height: 4_5 IN Front Lift Method: Cross Member Installation Difficulty: difficult Installation Time: 8-10 Hrs Installation Tools: cut off wheel or equiv-saw reciprocating-torsionBar unloadingTool-welder Rear Lift Height: 5 IN Rear Lift Method: Block Rear Lift Option: Leaf Springs Shocks Included: Yes Special tool (Kent Moore Tools Part# J-42393) required to unload/load torsion bars. Not available through BDS. Requires frame bracket modification and differential mount modification as well as minor welding. A shock absorber is a wear item and over time will experience diminished damping resistance due to normal component wear. This is not a defect in material or workmanship and is therefore not warrantable. Defects in material and workmanship do not include such things as dented cylinders or bent rods caused by obvious side impact, rust or corrosion.
Fox Proprietary Shocks and Coil Overs:
